This volume introduces the histories and traditions that have inspired innovation in thinking and writing about policy making and policy worlds in the field of education. Through a focus on post-positivist epistemologies and anti-foundationalist philosophies, this volume documents some of the most recent theoretical and empirical developments in the education sub-field of 'policy sociology', also known as 'sociology of education policy' or 'critical policy sociology'.
